Overall experience: Excellent.

I found that all topics were covered in depth and whenever I was unsure of something it was explained and I was not left confused about any of the topics. A lot of information was taught to us which helped greatly in the exam as I was able to answer questions fully.

I believe that the course was extremely beneficial in helping me learn more about my religion. Students are offered lots of support throughout the course. If students are unsure they are able to ask as many questions as they feel necessary. All the resources that are used during the course students are able to use throughout the time they are studying. Whenever they need to revisit a topic they are able to use the sources and resources offered in the class.

It is extremely beneficial for those trying to learn about Islam in more depth whilst also studying towards a qualification

My daughter started these lessons with Umm Abdillah when she was 8 years old. The growth, development and improvement have been astounding Mashallah. She has gone from needing me to explain and help her through the homework to working through it independently.

Umm Abdillah makes the lessons engaging and brings complex topics to a relatable level for the girls. With real life examples and experience which help them contextualise the topics.
I will continue to recommend these lessons to others as I’ve found them so beneficial. These lessons have developed my daughter’s understanding of important Islamic topics and issues.

As one of Umm Abdillah’s old students myself, it has been a pleasure to see my daughter learning lessons I remember doing. May Allah allow Umm Abdillah to continue benefitting young ladies for many years more. Ameen

My 11 year old daughter has been on this course for the last couple of years. She loves the course itself as well as her teacher and looks forward to her weekly lessons which she misses during breaks and is eager to attend even whilst on holiday.

The structure is beautiful, content is extremely relevant to day to day issues, personal and global, and very well explained, she will often recall things mentioned during class.

Alhamdulillah it has been a huge blessing for our family. I have and do recommend these lessons far and wide, may Allah bless them and keep them running.

I believe that the lessons are very interesting in terms of the content that is being taught, especially as it is delivered in such depth and in a way that makes it easy for teenagers such as myself to understand. I do appreciate the 10 minute break between sessions as I feel it provides the students with a necessary reset. Additionally the lessons themselves do not feel prolonged or excessively dull, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the topic.

All in all, I would have to say that the classes have been an integral part of my Sunday morning– so much so that, for the most part, I began to look forward to each one, thanks to Ustaadah’s teaching methods and the captivating material

So far, I’ve found this IGCSE Islamic Studies lesson to be quite historical as it recounts the lifetime of Allah’s Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him). Most of the time, Ustaadah uses quotes from the Qur’an and books from scholars. Additionally, these lessons come across as quite informative on the Shari’ah Law, which is a set of rules for Muslims to follow in their daily lives.

I am grateful to our Ustaadah for her clear explanations throughout this course as it helps me to further understand Islam.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my feedback on the course. I truly enjoyed the course; it was well-structured and easy to follow. I appreciated that it always started and finished on time, which made it very convenient.

Ustadha’s delivery of the lesson reminded me of the grace and dignity women in Islam embody. I also appreciated her sharing personal stories at times, which helped deepen my understanding and left a lasting impression.

I valued the option to simply sit and listen, as well as the opportunity to do homework. This flexibility allowed me to participate without feeling pressured, although I would have liked to complete more homework for my own benefit.

Despite my busy schedule at the beginning of the course, I still enjoyed the lessons. Mashallahah, overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I learned a great deal.

The course is organised well and follows a clear structure which makes it easy to review previous learning.

The materials compiled under the guidance of Sheikh Abu Khadeejah provide a comprehensive understanding of each topic with deep and valuable insight. This not only supports the students understanding of key concepts in preparation for the exam, it also reinforces foundational knowledge that a Muslim requires in their daily life.

As a full time student and teacher, the course schedule has allowed me to gain beneficial knowledge by setting aside just a few hours of commitment every week.

This course provided us with a safe space to learn more about our religion and ask questions as many do not have direct access to the students of knowledge.

Alhamdulillah, I encountered no issues during my studies on this course, it was a truly delightful and highly beneficial experience.

Alhamdulillāh, I had a truly enriching experience in the 2-year IGCSE Islamic Studies course taught by Ustaadha Naheed, who created a supportive and safe learning environment with her exceptional patience and kindness, covering essential subjects like Islamic history, the life of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), and the expansion of Islam, compiled by Ustaadh Abu Khadeejah, which deepened my understanding and connection to Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ).

Ustaadha Naheed’s engaging teaching style and relatable examples made the lessons impactful. I also formed meaningful connections with students globally, all upon the same belief, allāhumma bārik!

She was understanding and accommodating, ensuring I stayed on track despite my busy schedule. She even provided complimentary classes to prepare us for the examinations, showing her dedication to our success. My family is pleased with my progress.

I highly recommend this course to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Islam, even if they don’t plan to take the exam. It’s a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the Deen.

One of the most beneficial aspects of the course has been the weekly notes. While we review them during class, they’ve been incredibly helpful afterwards—especially when completing the homework questions.

For anyone looking to join the course I highly recommend it. So far the course has been very beneficial Alhamdulilah, the lessons have taught me so much.

During lessons we get to ask any questions (using the chat box) if we are confused or curious about something, and towards the end we may ask questions that aren’t to do with the lesson, which i find very helpful.

Ustadhah will also ask us some questions to do with the lesson which is great, and makes sure everyone is following along. Due to these lessons I’ve also been able to increase my ability in taking notes.

The lessons have a wide range of topics (nuclear war and proliferation, the mosque and its importance in the community, etc) which I find very interesting, we learn something different every week.

May Allah preserve Ustadha Umm Abdillah and reward her massively.

The class has taught me so much new knowledge that I wasn’t aware of before, and it’s very easy to follow—especially with Ustazah’s guidance and the helpful texts provided. Each class is one hour long, which is ideal for those with a busy schedule. The lessons are clear and packed with valuable information. The homework also plays a big role in helping me retain what I’ve learned and check my understanding.

I really appreciate that we’re not required to turn on our microphones—it removes the pressure, and we can just participate by typing in the chat box.

There was a clear explanation of all the lessons and evidence from Quran was sunnah being present in the notes with the references (which is very helpful for those who do not come from a background of Islamic knowledge May Allah reward you for the efforts put into spreading ‘ilm).

The course was very beneficial for attaining knowledge on a variety of topics from the deen. Ustādha Naheed explained all lessons clearly and was supportive ensuring that we all understood the course content, as well as making herself approachable for whoever needed clarification of anything. She breaks down the course into clear, digestible information and makes her lessons an overall enjoyable and beneficial experience.

My two daughters benefited tremendously from this course. The lessons were thorough and the teacher was so clear and thoughtful during class, often sharing stories and anecdotes from history and her own experiences to truly bring the lessons to life. I believe the children were able to appreciate the importance of adherence to the Quran and Sunnah because of these stories and the detailed proofs from the religion as well as those from a worldly, scientific and societal aspect.

A very well developed curriculum.

The girls also benefitted from her openness to answer students’ questions and overall kindness and care.

As somebody who struggles to concentrate on lessons, this was something I was worried about. However, this worry was erased from the first lesson alone. I can assure every new student that Ustādhah is someone who is knowledgeable, supportive, encouraging, and brilliant at engaging students. She never forces anyone to answer questions unless they feel comfortable enough to—so no need to worry if you’re a shy student!

The coursework itself is phenomenal. It’s well-structured, informative, and tiered to suit everyone’s needs and abilities. So whether you’re just starting to learn about the Deen or you are looking for something more in-depth and detailed, look no further!

I think Islamic Studies is vitally important because it helps students to understand and steer away from misconceptions. This religious knowledge is extremely valuable, as pupils can become aware of misguided information and teach others what is right.

Another reason why I enjoy the lessons is because of Ustaadah. Her clear and eloquent speech has allowed her students to process and understand the content being taught with ease. Furthermore, another reason I like this course is that everything that is taught is factual, based on the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah.
